Reliance Homes has many floorplans to choose from. Each community has different requirements that will narrow the choices of home for you. The "Communities" tab will show the homes that are available in that community. Reliance Homes has many options to choose from to customize the home the way you want to. Sign Contracts

Now that you know which home and lot you want, the next step is to complete the purchase contract with the sales agent. The purchase contract requires a $500.00 Earnest Money. This locks you into the price and holds the lot while you are qualifying for the home. If you do not qualify for the purchase of the home, the $500.00 will be returned to you.

If you are not already pre-approved at a lender, we can help you find the right one. We have worked with many lenders over the years and would be happy to refer you to one that we have been pleased with. You would then meet with the lender and supply any of the information they need to approve you for your home loan. Approval usually takes 2 to 3 weeks.

Builder Meeting

Once you are approved for your home loan the next step is to meet with the builder and go over your house plans, site plan, and warranty book. He will make any custom changes you want on your home and how the house sits on the lot. After this meeting Reliance Homes will submit to the jurisdiction for your permit. The permit takes from a couple of days to a month to receive from the jurisdiction. While we are waiting for the permit, you will need to meet again with the sales agent, this is when you will pick out all the colors, cabinets, fixtures, exterior and others from one of our showrooms.

Building of Your Home

Within a few days of receiving the building permit, Reliance will start the production of your home. You are free to watch the progress on you home. We ask that you exercise caution when visiting the site. It can be a very dangerous place for children and adults as well. You will be contacted in a timely manner if you are doing any work equity.

Final Walk

Upon completion of the home and prior to the closing, you will be invited to an orientation meeting at the home. Here you will tour the home, looking for incomplete and touch-up items. The systems of the home will be explained and information on utilities sign-ups will be given. Once completed, you will meet at the title company to sign the closing documents for the home. The recording of the closing settlement documents normally take place within a day. Once the recording and funding takes place, the home is legally yours and you are free to move in. You will receive the keys to your new home.
